Game Organization

Spring is in the air and I’m ready to get the house in shape!  One of the most difficult areas for us to keep organized has been our games.  We love to play board games and have quite a few.  We’ve tried a number of different ways to store them, but this has turned out to be the best.  The boxes are no longer getting smashed and the pieces don’t get lost.  Let me show you…

This step ensured that our pieces would stay put together and would not fall out of the box.

We have older children, so we decided to use this bookshelf to organize and display our games.  We store most of the games on their sides like books.  This keeps the boxes from getting smashed and because we have organized the insides of the boxes, the little pieces do not fall out.  A few of our boxes were not in great shape to begin with, so we repaired them with packing tape the best we could and even used a rubber band around some.  You could use this same organizing idea in a closet if you don’t want your games visible or if you have young children.
